Your ability to drive architectural decisions and ensure execution quality makes you a valuable asset in any engineering team. You understand the importance of clarity in uncertain situations and are committed to raising the bar for engineering excellence through collaboration and leadership.
Desirable
Experience with modern ML and LLM-based APIs is a plus, as is familiarity with performance engineering and media systems engineering. You are comfortable navigating the intersection of technology and business impact, making you an ideal candidate for this role.
What you'll do
As a Staff Engineer at Dropbox, you will lead the technical delivery of a team of 15 to 20 engineers, guiding them through the complexities of customer-facing experiences. You will shape the technical direction of projects and partner with product management as the Directly Responsible Individual (DRI) for critical company-wide objectives. Your role will involve owning massive, ambiguous technical and product problems that create significant opportunities for the company. You will be responsible for influencing architectural decisions and ensuring the quality of execution across teams. Your hands-on coding will focus on the most critical and foundational components of the system, allowing you to directly impact the user experience. You will also gain meaningful exposure to senior leadership, helping to shape foundational systems that unlock future product capabilities.
