Who you are
You have a proven track record in sales leadership, particularly in the technology or AI sectors, with experience in building and managing high-performing sales teams. You thrive in ambiguous environments and can create structure without slowing down the team's momentum. Your strong judgment in selling AI solutions is complemented by your ability to foster trust and rigor in decision-making processes. You are passionate about shaping how AI supports high-stakes scientific work and are eager to drive transformative impact in this space.
You possess excellent coaching skills, having successfully recruited, trained, and motivated Account Executives in previous roles. You understand the nuances of enterprise sales and can effectively translate product-led growth into long-term partnerships. Your experience includes developing predictable pipelines and accurate forecasting, ensuring that your team meets and exceeds sales targets. You are comfortable navigating complex sales cycles and can engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Desirable
Experience in the research or scientific sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with product-led growth strategies. You may have a background in working with AI technologies or similar innovative solutions, which will help you relate to potential clients and understand their needs better.
What you'll do
As the Head of Sales at Elicit, you will report directly to the Co-Founder and COO, leading the enterprise sales team while initially focusing on closing strategic deals yourself. Your role will evolve as the team scales, transitioning into full-time management responsibilities. You will be instrumental in turning product-led momentum into long-term partnerships with research-driven organizations, ensuring that Elicit's AI solutions are effectively adopted in high-stakes scientific environments.
You will be responsible for building a high-performing enterprise sales function from the ground up, which includes recruiting and coaching a team of Account Executives. Your leadership will drive execution and help define the enterprise sales motion at Elicit. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with product development and marketing efforts, ensuring a cohesive approach to market penetration.
Your day-to-day activities will involve setting sales targets, developing strategies to achieve them, and monitoring performance metrics. You will also engage with clients to understand their needs and tailor solutions that meet their requirements. As you build relationships with key stakeholders, you will help shape the narrative around how Elicit's AI research assistant can transform their decision-making processes.
