Overview
Enviva is hiring a Control Room Operator to monitor and manage plant operations. You'll ensure the smooth functioning of systems and respond to alarms effectively. This role requires an understanding of control room operations and technical skills.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a foundational understanding of control room operations and are eager to learn more about the renewable energy sector. You possess the ability to prepare accurate records and respond to alarms with appropriate corrective actions. Your attention to detail ensures that plant operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You are comfortable operating computers and monitoring systems, translating signals into production realities. You understand the importance of maintaining equipment temperatures and schedules, ensuring that all systems function optimally. Your proactive approach to monitoring production rates and system statuses contributes to the overall success of the plant.
What you'll do
As a Control Room Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring the status of all plant systems continuously. You will operate plant functions from the control room, managing various systems such as the chip feed system, fuel feed system, and pellet presses. Your role will involve checking indicator screens and signal lights, ensuring that production rates meet generating requirements while adhering to safety protocols.
You will act as the overall contact for plant operations, responding to alarms and taking corrective actions as necessary. Your ability to adjust production line processes based on real-time data will be crucial in maintaining efficiency. You will also be tasked with preparing accurate records of operations, contributing to the plant's operational integrity.
