You have experience in a supervisory role within an operational environment, demonstrating your ability to lead and manage a team effectively. You understand the importance of safety and productivity in the workplace and are committed to achieving both. Your background includes training and coaching employees to meet operational objectives, ensuring that everyone on your team is equipped to perform their duties safely and efficiently.
You are certified to operate mobile equipment, which is essential for the role. Your familiarity with basic machinery functions and control systems allows you to troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring that operations run smoothly. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance equipment reliability.
What you'll do
As a Shift Supervisor at Enviva, you will be responsible for all routine functions during your assigned shift. This includes supervising a team of 8-10 employees, conducting shift meetings, and coordinating with third-party vendors during ship loading. You will manage the shift schedule, including workstation assignments, employee training, and handling vacations and breaks. Your role will also involve preparing and submitting reports as required, ensuring that all operational information is communicated effectively.
You will follow all workplace safety procedures and perform housekeeping audits to maintain high standards. Your ability to escalate issues promptly will be crucial for resolving operational challenges.
