Who you are
You have a strong background in security operations with at least 5 years of experience in incident response and managing security alerts. You understand the importance of protecting sensitive data and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating threats. Your experience includes working with various security tools and technologies, allowing you to effectively triage and respond to incidents. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working alongside IT, development, and business teams to enhance security measures across the organization.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to liaise with stakeholders effectively during security incidents. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, which helps you assess security alerts and incidents accurately. Your ability to mentor and guide less experienced team members is a valuable asset, as you believe in fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization. You are committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest security trends and threats.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for triaging and actioning alerts generated by internal security tools and external data sources. You will lead security incidents through to resolution, prioritizing response and containment while collaborating with various stakeholders. Your day-to-day tasks will include reviewing security alerts, assisting users in operating securely, and ensuring that security controls are functioning effectively across the technology estate. You will also play a key role in implementing automated controls and governance to enhance security operations.
You will work closely with the wider security team to develop and refine incident response processes, ensuring that the organization is prepared to handle evolving threats. Your contributions will help shape the security posture of ESO, allowing colleagues to operate securely with minimal constraints. You will have opportunities for professional development and mentoring, as the team values growth and knowledge sharing. Your role will be critical in maintaining the trust of our customers and stakeholders by safeguarding their data and ensuring compliance with security standards.
