Job Description
Who you are
You have at least 1 year of related work experience and technical training, which has equipped you with a basic understanding of construction and remodeling. You can read and interpret electrical, architectural, and civil plans, which is essential for the tasks at hand. Your basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems allows you to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, ensuring that all levels of the campus community are informed and engaged. You possess basic office environment computer skills, which help you manage work orders and maintain records efficiently.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for completing work orders related to the physical maintenance and repairs of the buildings. You will utilize work order related software to track and manage tasks effectively. Your responsibilities will include assisting with the maintenance of life safety equipment such as fire alarms, fire sprinklers, fire extinguishers, fire pumps, exit signs, and emergency lighting. You will also assist with large-scale emergency power backup systems for data centers, including UPSs, ATSs, and generators. Overseeing roof maintenance, including repairs and cleaning of solar panels, will be part of your duties. You will implement a comprehensive preventative maintenance plan alongside your supervisor, ensuring that all related records and logs are maintained accurately. Additionally, you will support miscellaneous repairs in and around all buildings that are not covered by the above duties.
