You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on mobile and web app development — your experience includes working in agile environments where you thrive on collaboration and innovation. You are passionate about creating intuitive solutions that make a difference in critical situations, such as natural disasters and humanitarian efforts.
You possess a deep understanding of GIS technologies and their applications — your expertise allows you to translate complex user needs into actionable product requirements, ensuring that the solutions you develop are both purposeful and effective. You are an advocate for the customer, always considering their workflows in your design and delivery processes.
Your analytical skills are top-notch, enabling you to assess product quality and readiness through thorough testing and evaluation — you are adept at identifying risks associated with product development and proposing effective solutions. You enjoy writing and sharing knowledge, whether through blog articles or tutorials, to help others understand the capabilities of GIS applications.
Desirable
Experience with specific GIS applications like Field Maps and Navigator would be a plus, as well as familiarity with user story creation and acceptance criteria development. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and influencing product direction based on user feedback and market trends.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive the development and testing of new capabilities in mobile and web applications, ensuring they meet the needs of users and clients. You will collaborate closely with prospective users to gather insights and translate them into well-defined product requirements, including user stories and acceptance test criteria.
You will work alongside product teams across ArcGIS to influence upcoming development and advocate for customer workflows in product design and delivery. Your responsibilities will include identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development, providing in-depth analysis for complex product issues, and proposing effective solutions.
You will assess product quality and release readiness by writing and reviewing test plans, ensuring that the applications you help develop are reliable and user-friendly. Additionally, you will contribute to the community by writing and presenting conceptual topics, blog articles, and step-by-step tutorials that showcase the capabilities of GIS technologies.
