Who you are

You have over 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly with general ledger functions and the month-end close process. Your strong knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) allows you to navigate complex financial statements and ensure compliance with local statutory reporting. You possess advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, which you use to analyze financial data effectively. Your attention to detail and excellent organizational skills enable you to prioritize demands and meet deadlines consistently. You are comfortable working independently and demonstrate a detail-oriented and hands-on style in your approach to accounting tasks.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for closing subsidiary financial statements on a monthly basis in accordance with US GAAP. You will understand the transactions required to conform local GAAP financial statements to US GAAP and vice versa, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your responsibilities will include reviewing reconciliations, allocations, consolidations, and intercompany transactions, as well as supporting month and year-end close processes. You will assist with annual audit activities and complete external audit requests by analyzing general ledger accounts and providing necessary information to auditors. Additionally, you will identify and support continual process and procedure improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting function.
