Job Description
Who you are
You have over 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, particularly with general ledger functions and the month and year-end close process. Your advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including proficiency with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, allow you to analyze financial data effectively. You possess a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, enabling you to prioritize demands and meet deadlines efficiently. Your deep understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) ensures that you can navigate the complexities of financial reporting and compliance.
You thrive in collaborative environments and can work independently when needed. Your hands-on approach and detail-oriented style make you an asset to any team, as you consistently seek to improve processes and procedures. You are well-versed in regulatory accounting and audits, and you understand the importance of supporting international statutory audits for assigned entities.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for closing subsidiary financial statements on a monthly basis in accordance with US GAAP. You will review and analyze financial statements for assigned international entities, ensuring compliance with local statutory reporting requirements. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding the transactions required to conform local GAAP financial statements to US GAAP and vice versa.
You will support the month and year-end close processes and assist with annual audit activities, completing external audit requests by analyzing general ledger accounts and providing necessary information to auditors. Your role will also involve identifying and supporting continual process and procedure improvements, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting team.
