Job Description
Who you are
You have over 8 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role, with a strong understanding of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 related to revenue recognition. Your expertise in general ledger functions and the month-end close process is well-established, and you are proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel, enabling you to analyze and compile financial data effectively.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working cross-functionally with legal, professional services, and order processing teams to ensure compliance with revenue and contracting policies. Your attention to detail and commitment to accuracy make you a reliable partner in the deal cycle, especially during revenue contract negotiations.
You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and are comfortable supporting year-end close processes and annual audit activities. Your ability to document processes related to new accounting tasks ensures the integrity of revenue accounting information.
What you'll do
In this role, you will conduct monthly close functions, preparing and recording general ledger entries by compiling and analyzing assigned trial balance accounts. You will perform monthly reconciliations and support necessary management reporting analysis to provide insights into the company's financial health.
You will collaborate with various teams to conduct contract reviews, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies for both domestic and international entities. Your role will involve working closely with partners in the deal cycle, including contracts and global business development, to ensure accuracy and compliance in revenue recognition.
Supporting year-end close processes and assisting with annual audit activities will be key responsibilities, as will identifying and supporting continual process and procedure improvements across the Revenue Accounting team. You will also engage in ad hoc projects as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the team.
