You have a background in geography, GIS, data analysis, engineering, or computer science — your passion for building high-quality commercial software drives you to improve product quality. You are dedicated to quality assurance and software engineering, eager to learn from experienced professionals in the field. Your experience includes designing and building automated tests, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can work with diverse teams.
You possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail — assessing product quality and release readiness is second nature to you. Your technical expertise includes proficiency in SQL and programming languages like Python and Java, which you use to create effective test cases and scenarios. You are familiar with REST APIs and understand how to test functionality related to data management services.
What you'll do
In this role, you will work closely with a team of dedicated software engineers and product engineers to design and author test cases for ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the software meets high-quality standards and is ready for release. Your responsibilities will include identifying and responding to quality assurance challenges, as well as implementing creative solutions to complex problems.
You will leverage your skills to automate testing processes, helping to streamline workflows and improve efficiency. Your work will involve stress-testing code and builds, ensuring that the software can handle real-world scenarios effectively. You will also participate in assessing product quality and release readiness, contributing to the overall success of Esri's cutting-edge GIS platform.
