Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in developing data management solutions. Your background includes working with databases and spatial data, allowing you to understand complex GIS data problems and implement effective solutions. You are proficient in programming languages such as Java and C#, and you have experience with SQL and PostgreSQL, which are essential for managing geodatabases.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and can synthesize user requirements into actionable development objectives. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and engineering, enables you to drive the planning and design of new software capabilities. You are also comfortable with quality assurance processes and documentation, ensuring that your solutions meet high standards of quality and usability.
What you'll do
As a Senior Product Engineer at Esri, you will engage with product management and user communities to gather and synthesize requirements for data management functionalities. You will collaborate with software engineers and product engineers to build and test features related to enterprise geodatabases and data management services. Your role will involve driving the planning, design, quality assurance, certification, and release of ArcGIS data management functionality.
You will define documentation objectives to communicate sophisticated technology effectively to the user community. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing and documenting creative solutions to complex problems involving the creation, management, and analysis of spatial data. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and functionality of Esri's products, enhancing the user experience for customers globally.
