You have extensive experience in site reliability engineering, particularly in managing observability platforms and cloud-native environments. Your expertise in Kubernetes and cloud technologies like AWS and GCP allows you to ensure the reliability and scalability of large-scale systems. You are comfortable with the complexities of observability stacks and understand the importance of deep visibility into system health and performance. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are committed to the strategic growth of the systems you manage.

Desirable

Experience with additional cloud technologies and tools that enhance observability and reliability would be a plus. Familiarity with incident management and response processes is also beneficial, as is a background in working with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in system performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and operate Everbridge's enterprise observability platform, ensuring it meets the needs of engineering teams across the organization. You will be responsible for the upkeep and reliability of the observability stack, leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes and cloud technologies to enhance system performance. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams to provide insights into system health and performance, enabling proactive management of potential issues.

You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure they have the visibility they need to maintain high levels of reliability and performance. This includes developing and implementing strategies for monitoring and alerting, as well as optimizing the observability stack for scalability. You will also be involved in incident management, helping to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering teams, as you provide the tools and insights necessary for them to succeed. You will play a key role in fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement within the organization, ensuring that systems are not only operational but also optimized for performance.
