Fieldguide is hiring a Senior Manager, People Business Partner to align talent with business objectives and coach managers on employee relations. This role requires strong strategic thinking and a commitment to organizational culture.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a proven track record as a strategic thought partner to the business, understanding the importance of aligning talent with organizational objectives. Your experience includes building and maintaining effective organizational health dashboards that inform decision-making and drive performance.

As a high-performance coach, you excel at guiding managers through performance conversations, career development, and feedback delivery. You provide valuable insights on policies, employee relations, and issue resolution, ensuring that managers feel supported in their roles.

You approach your work with a team mentality, ready to pitch in when needed and raise your hand for support. Your data-based storytelling skills allow you to partner effectively with the Senior Manager of People Ops, articulating the narrative that data tells about team health and using it to guide leaders.

Efficiency is a priority for you; you focus on streamlining processes and achieving better outcomes. You understand the importance of documentation in improving organizational effectiveness and are committed to operating with a bias to action, believing in launching initiatives, gathering feedback, and iterating quickly.

You are a relentless problem-solver, driven to overcome obstacles and find solutions that benefit the organization. Your strong sense of ownership reflects your deep commitment to the success of your team and the company culture.

What you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the People Business Partner for all of Fieldguide, advising on talent alignment and performance management. You will coach managers on employee relations issues, helping them navigate challenges and develop their teams effectively.

You will partner with the Senior Director of People to plan and execute engagement programs, including recognition initiatives and cultural celebrations. Your role will also involve collaborating on onboarding curriculum and cross-functional cultural initiatives to enhance employee experience.

As the organization grows, you will adapt the business partner function to meet evolving needs, ensuring that talent strategies align with business objectives. You will proactively develop mitigation plans for retention risks, working closely with managers to address potential challenges.

Your responsibilities will include planning and project managing employee events, both onsite and offsite, to foster a strong sense of community and engagement within the organization. You will leverage your expertise to create a positive employee experience that reflects Fieldguide's culture and values.
