What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Five9, you will play a critical role in developing the next generation of our modern SaaS platform — your primary focus will be on API Gateway and the API Developer Portal, ensuring that our services are highly available and scalable. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservices that improve customer service through AI capabilities in the Contact Center. Staying updated on emerging trends in API management will be essential as you recommend improvements and optimizations to our existing systems.

You will contribute to the continuous enhancement of our Platform Services, ensuring that we meet the demands of our enterprise customers while delivering new features and capabilities. Your role will involve documenting APIs to ensure they are accessible and well-understood by internal teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. You will also engage in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, helping to elevate the overall skill level of the team.
