You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable and reliable systems. Your expertise in Java and Spring Boot allows you to design and develop high-performance microservices that can handle millions of customer interactions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with architects and senior engineers to solve complex problems and improve system designs.

Your strong focus on writing clean, maintainable, and testable code ensures that the services you develop are not only efficient but also easy to manage and scale. You take ownership of your work, from the initial design phase through to deployment and ongoing operations, ensuring that every aspect of the service meets the highest standards of quality.

You are passionate about cloud technologies and have hands-on experience with GCP, which enables you to leverage the full potential of cloud-native architectures. Your ability to optimize services for performance and reliability is complemented by your understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

Desirable

Experience with additional cloud platforms or technologies is a plus, as is familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools. You are always eager to learn and adapt to new technologies, which helps you stay at the forefront of the industry.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize high-performance microservices that are integral to Five9's cloud contact center software. You will collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and architects to ensure that the services you build are scalable, reliable, and performant. Your responsibilities will include writing clean and maintainable code, conducting technical reviews, and participating in system design discussions.

You will take ownership of services from end to end, which means you will be involved in everything from the initial design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and ongoing operations. Your contributions will directly impact the customer experience, as you help to power billions of interactions annually.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to help them grow in their careers. Your role will require you to stay hands-on with coding while also engaging in high-level architectural discussions, ensuring that the team is aligned on best practices and innovative solutions.
