You have a solid background in site reliability engineering, with experience in monitoring and maintaining production systems. You understand the importance of reliability and performance in infrastructure and have a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Your experience with cloud platforms like AWS, along with your knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes, equips you to handle complex environments effectively. You are comfortable working in a Linux environment and have a strong grasp of incident response protocols. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with engineering teams to integrate reliability best practices into the product roadmap. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for automation, ensuring that deployments are scalable and efficient.

Desirable

Experience with monitoring tools and practices is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. You may have worked with various incident management tools and have a keen interest in improving system performance and reliability.

What you'll do

As a Site Reliability Engineer II at Fivetran, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform. You will monitor the availability, capacity, and throughput of our production infrastructure, identifying potential issues before they impact our customers. Collaborating with engineering teams, you will integrate reliability best practices into the product development process, ensuring that our systems are robust and scalable. You will support the deployment pipeline, working alongside senior SREs to implement automation for seamless deployments. Your contributions will help maintain 100% availability of our production infrastructure, and you will be involved in initial incident response, helping to resolve critical bugs identified by support or sales teams. Your role will also involve proactive monitoring and alerting, allowing you to address issues before they escalate.
