You have over 5 years of experience in business development, particularly in the FinTech sector, where you've successfully closed complex deals and built strategic partnerships. Your ability to identify new market opportunities and develop relationships with key stakeholders sets you apart. You thrive in high-impact roles and are driven by measurable results, always aiming to exceed targets and contribute to company growth.

Your strategic mindset allows you to navigate the complexities of various industries, including insurance, utilities, telecom, auto, and healthcare. You possess excellent negotiation skills and can effectively communicate the value of Flex's innovative solutions to potential partners. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing market dynamics while maintaining a focus on long-term objectives.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams, including GTM and Sales leadership, to drive adoption and growth. Your analytical skills enable you to assess market trends and customer needs, ensuring that your strategies are data-driven and aligned with the company's mission. You are passionate about empowering renters and believe in the importance of flexibility in financial management.

Desirable

Experience in launching new products or services in emerging markets would be a plus. Familiarity with payment platforms and vertical SaaS providers can enhance your effectiveness in this role. A strong network within the FinTech industry will also be beneficial as you seek to establish partnerships that drive growth.

What you'll do

As the Senior Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for leading the charge in expanding Flex's pay-over-time platform into new industries. This involves identifying potential partners, conducting outreach, and building relationships that lead to successful collaborations. You will own the full sales motion, from pipeline creation to negotiation and revenue scaling, ensuring that each partnership aligns with Flex's strategic goals.

You will work closely with the VP of Strategic Partnerships to develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy that targets major payment platforms and vertical SaaS providers. Your role will require you to analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine your approach and maximize impact. You will also collaborate with internal teams to ensure that the solutions offered meet the needs of your partners and their customers.

Your performance will be measured by the number of deals closed and the markets successfully penetrated. You will be expected to report on progress regularly and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve desired outcomes. Your ability to build conviction and communicate effectively will be crucial in persuading potential partners to join forces with Flex.
