What you'll do

As the Founding Engineer at Shepherd, you will own the technical vision and lead the development of the AI engine that powers our innovative legal services. You will work closely with the CEO and CLO to transform complex legal workflows into scalable, automated systems, ensuring that our technology meets the needs of startups and SMBs.

Your role will involve architecting the core product and integrating various technologies, including LLMs and structured data, to create a seamless user experience. You will be responsible for defining the technical foundations of the company, setting standards for code quality, and ensuring that our systems are robust and scalable.

You will also mentor and guide a growing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the future of legal services, making them more accessible and efficient for our clients.
