Who you are

You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in Ruby, and possess strong instincts for code review — you can quickly identify logic errors, performance traps, and security issues. Your attention to detail is extreme, and you excel in written communication, as much of your role involves explaining the rationale behind your coding decisions. You enjoy reading documentation and language specifications, thriving in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment. While prior experience with Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) is not required, your ability to critique and improve code is essential.

Desirable

Experience with constraint programming is a bonus, but not a requirement. You are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies, and you are comfortable working independently while still being a collaborative team member.

What you'll do

As an AI Software Engineer at G2i Inc., you will help train large-language models to write production-grade code across various programming languages. Your responsibilities will include comparing and ranking multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why, and repairing and refactoring AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style. You will inject feedback into the RLHF pipeline, ensuring it runs smoothly, which will help the model learn to propose, critique, and improve code as an expert engineer would. Your work will directly impact the development of AI systems that enhance coding practices.

This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $70/hr, depending on your location and seniority, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and the potential for up to 40 hours.
