Who you are

You have 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, particularly in Rust, and possess strong instincts for code review. You can quickly identify logic errors, performance traps, and security issues, ensuring high-quality code. Your attention to detail is extreme, and you excel in written communication, as much of your role involves explaining the rationale behind your coding decisions. You enjoy reading documentation and language specifications, thriving in an asynchronous, low-oversight environment. While prior experience with Reinforcement Learning with Human Feedback (RLHF) is not required, you are eager to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Desirable

Experience with constraint programming is a bonus, but not a requirement. You are comfortable working independently and can manage your time effectively, ensuring that you meet project deadlines while maintaining high standards in your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will help train large-language models (LLMs) to write production-grade code across various programming languages. Your responsibilities will include comparing and ranking multiple code snippets, explaining which is best and why. You will also repair and refactor AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and style. Injecting feedback into the RLHF pipeline will be a key part of your job, ensuring that the model learns to propose, critique, and improve code effectively. You will generate code, have expert engineers rank and edit it, and convert that feedback into reward signals to tune the model toward code that meets production standards.

What we offer

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere. Compensation ranges from $30/hr to $70/hr, depending on your location and seniority, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week and the potential for up to 40 hours.
