Who you are
You are currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance, and you have a strong foundation in programming with languages such as C#, Java, or C++. Your familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts allows you to understand and contribute to software development effectively. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, which enable you to tackle complex challenges in a high-energy, time-sensitive team environment. Your attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills make you an effective collaborator.
Desirable
While not required, having experience with financial trading systems or a keen interest in the financial industry will enhance your contributions to the team. Familiarity with additional programming languages or technologies will also be beneficial as you support the development of innovative solutions.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer Intern at Garda Capital Partners, you will aid in the development of new lines of business solutions using C#, WinForms, Excel, and SQL (Oracle/Postgres). You will support senior staff in designing and implementing complete solutions for our front office and risk systems, gaining valuable insights into enterprise software development practices. Your role will involve providing support for both in-house and third-party applications, allowing you to learn from experienced professionals in the field. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects that directly impact the firm's operations and strategies, enhancing your understanding of the financial technology landscape.
