GHD is hiring a Senior Analyst Actuary for Insurance Risk Modeling to develop insurance liability models and support new product launches. This role requires expertise in actuarial modeling and risk assessment.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in actuarial science and quantitative analysis, with experience in developing insurance liability models that are crucial for pricing, valuation, and risk management. Your ability to communicate complex findings to stakeholders is essential, as you will be working closely with the Risk management team to ensure that models are aligned with business objectives.
You are familiar with various regulatory frameworks and understand the implications of actuarial and market risks. Your analytical skills enable you to perform liability stresses under different lenses, such as GAAP, Stat, Econ, and Bermuda, ensuring that the models are robust and reliable.
What you'll do
In this role, you will develop and maintain insurance liability models within GA Riskβs liability modeling platform. You will be responsible for onboarding various Institutional transactions onto the Risk platform, ensuring that all models are up to date with regular rate changes and new product features. Your work will involve performing validation and control reviews of actuarial and financial models, assessing the methodologies and assumptions used within these models.
You will support new product launches by ensuring that the risk models are accurate and reflect the latest market conditions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help drive the development of quantitative models and analytical tools that enhance the Risk function's capabilities.
