You have a strong background in actuarial science, with experience in risk adjustment and valuation functions. You understand the complexities of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) markets and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to maintaining and reviewing actuarial models. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to develop accurate risk adjustment accrual estimates and forecasting models. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team that is dedicated to improving health insurance services.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. What you'll do
As a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Oscar, you will play a key role in the valuation function, focusing on risk adjustment across all ACA markets. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing core risk adjustment reporting and forecasting models, ensuring consistency and standardization across all team users. Your work will directly impact the accuracy of risk adjustment accrual estimates, which are crucial for the company's financial health.
You will collaborate closely with the Director of Actuarial to drive projects that enhance the actuarial function within the organization. This includes conducting various analyses to support decision-making and strategic planning. You will also have the opportunity to work on interesting projects that have a significant impact on the company's operations and its members.
What we offer
Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $91,659 - $120,303 per year, along with comprehensive employee benefits. You will have the opportunity to participate in Oscar's unlimited vacation program and be eligible for annual performance bonuses.
