Who you are
You are a dedicated educator with experience in managing afterschool programs, ensuring the health and safety of children while promoting their growth and development. You understand the importance of creating a child-centered environment that fosters self-definition and self-empowerment among participants. Your ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings, is essential for this role. You are passionate about social justice and committed to addressing systemic injustices through education.
What you'll do
As the Lead Teacher, you will support and assist in the daily operations of the Afterschool Program, ensuring that all activities are age-appropriate and culturally relevant. You will develop and implement high-quality curriculum and activities that engage students and promote their development. Your role will involve collaborating with other educators and staff to create a safe and nurturing environment for all participants. You will also be responsible for maintaining regular and predictable attendance to ensure the program runs smoothly.
