You are a compassionate early childhood educator with a passion for working with children aged 18 months to 5 years. You understand the importance of creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that meets the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of young learners. You are dedicated to the development of the early teaching profession and are committed to ensuring compliance with all safety and educational standards.
You have experience in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that engage children and foster their growth. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with site supervisors and other educators to create a rich and creative learning environment. Your ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues is one of your greatest strengths.
What you'll do
As the Lead Toddler & Preschool Teacher at GLIDE, you will be responsible for planning and implementing a curriculum that meets the developmental needs of young children. You will create a safe and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. You will work in partnership with the Site Supervisor to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
You will assess children's progress and adapt activities to meet their individual needs, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. Your role will involve collaborating with families to foster a strong home-school connection, providing resources and support to help them engage in their child's learning journey.
You will also participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Your commitment to social justice and community empowerment will be reflected in your teaching practices, as you strive to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all children.
