Who you are

You have a strong background in site reliability engineering with a focus on security platforms — your experience includes defining SLOs and managing incident responses for mission-critical infrastructure. You are skilled in automation and have a deep understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies. Your expertise in Python and SaltStack allows you to automate deployments and improve compliance effectively. You are familiar with various security technologies, including IDS/IPS and DDoS mitigation tools, and you understand how to build observability into systems using tools like Grafana.

Desirable

Experience with a heterogeneous stack and familiarity with tools such as TrendMicro TippingPoint IPS, Suricata, and NetScout/Arbor Sightline/TMS would be beneficial. You are comfortable working in a remote environment and can collaborate effectively with teams across different locations.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the reliability outcomes for GoDaddy's security platforms by defining SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets. You will architect and implement strategies for high availability and capacity planning, ensuring that the security infrastructure operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include designing maintenance and upgrade strategies that minimize downtime and automating various processes to reduce toil. You will also be tasked with building actionable alerting systems and dashboards to monitor performance and reliability.

You will lead incident response efforts, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly and effectively. Your role will involve continuous improvement of the security infrastructure, leveraging your technical skills to enhance operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of the infrastructure.
