You have 3+ years of professional experience developing web applications with Ruby on Rails — you are passionate about writing readable, maintainable, and elegant code while utilizing appropriate design patterns. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver features that meet user needs. Your technical leadership skills shine as you mentor other developers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

You are adept at designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable Ruby on Rails applications — you understand the importance of following industry best practices and writing clean, maintainable code. You have experience with system architecture and can collaborate with cross-functional teams using the API-first paradigm to design and implement APIs that are optimized for speed, reliability, and scalability.

Desirable

You have proficiency in front-end technologies such as TypeScript, React, and Next.js, which enhances your ability to contribute to full-stack development. Experience working with messaging systems like Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ is a plus, as is familiarity with OpenSearch or ElasticSearch. You have a background in managing high-volume production systems, ideally focusing on reliability, and are knowledgeable about orchestration and containerization technologies such as EKS, K8s, and Docker.

You will conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code standards are met. Your problem-solving skills will be essential as you identify and address performance bottlenecks, security issues, and system limitations. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently, contributing to the evolution of our tech stack.
