Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with Ruby on Rails, and have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design principles. Your debugging skills are excellent, and you possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities that enable you to tackle complex challenges effectively. You are a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to open-source projects, which is a plus for this role.

You hold a BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, which has provided you with a solid foundation in software development. Your experience with caching technologies like Redis or Memcache, as well as RDBMS engines such as PostgreSQL, equips you to optimize performance and ensure scalability in your applications. You are passionate about technology and are excited to work in a fast-paced environment where innovation is encouraged.

Experience with contributions to open-source projects is a plus, as it demonstrates your commitment to the developer community and your ability to collaborate with others on software solutions. What you'll do

As a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer at Workato, you will join the AI Lab, where you will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable applications that streamline business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that enhance the user experience and drive efficiency. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and conducting thorough testing to ensure the reliability of the applications you build.

You will also be tasked with optimizing existing systems and identifying areas for improvement, leveraging your expertise in Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL to enhance performance. You will participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to your peers while also learning from their insights. Your analytical skills will be crucial as you troubleshoot issues and debug complex systems, ensuring that the applications run smoothly and efficiently.
