Who you are

You have a JD, LL.B., or equivalent degree and are admitted to the bar in good standing, with at least 7 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm. Your background includes experience with data center or network infrastructure, and you possess excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. You are adept at communicating complex legal concepts to both engineers and business stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across departments.

Your expertise extends to drafting, managing, and negotiating various agreements, including IP core license agreements and services agreements. You have a solid understanding of commercial Intellectual Property (IP) transactions and are knowledgeable about semiconductor design, manufacturing, and supply chain processes. Your strong communication skills enable you to counsel clients effectively on legal issues, risks, and compliance requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will support Google's Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for building the hardware and systems that power Google’s services and AI infrastructure. You will be involved in the development and launch of new semiconductor devices and platforms, addressing exciting legal challenges that arise from disruptive technological innovations. Your role will require you to collaborate with engineers, product developers, and business development teams to provide proactive legal guidance.

You will also work on improving standard form agreements and enhancing client training and legal processes. Your responsibilities will include advising cross-functional stakeholders on legal strategies and summarizing legal concepts in a way that is accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will play a crucial role in navigating the legal landscape of emerging technologies, ensuring that Google remains compliant while fostering innovation.
