Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture within a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, and expertise in virtualization or containerization platforms. You are comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting to executive leaders, showcasing your ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Your experience extends to programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, and conducting customer workshops. You have a strong understanding of security concepts, including encryption, identity management, and access control, which are crucial in today's cloud environments. You are adept at building long-term technical strategies that help uncover new workloads with customers, demonstrating your proactive approach to customer engagement.

Desirable

While not required, experience in selling technical solutions related to Infrastructure Modernization, Application Modernization, Data Management, Data Analytics, Cloud AI, Networking, Migrations, and Security would be advantageous. Your ability to drive the entire business cycle, from defining delivery plans to transitioning them for execution, will set you apart in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Customer Engineer at Google Cloud, you will lead technical engagements with customers, guiding them through the solution phase and ensuring their needs are met. You will facilitate post-sales transitions by supporting pricing activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams during ramp-up, delivery, migration, or implementation phases. Your role will involve maintaining awareness of progress against delivery plans and providing ongoing support to ensure successful outcomes for our clients.

You will work closely with customers to understand their unique challenges and help them leverage Google Cloud technologies to achieve their business objectives. This includes conducting workshops, demos, and presentations that showcase the capabilities of our cloud solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping customers navigate their cloud journeys, from initial engagement to successful implementation.
