Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience. With at least 3 years of experience writing code in one or more general-purpose programming languages such as Java, C, C++, Python, Shell, Go, or JavaScript, you are well-versed in virtualization and orchestration frameworks. Your system administrator-level experience with Linux/Unix systems equips you to handle complex technical challenges. You have a knack for debugging issues across the hardware/software boundary on enterprise-grade server infrastructure, and you excel at troubleshooting and advocating for customer needs.
You are familiar with AI/ML computing hardware, including GPUs or other accelerators, and have experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch. Your understanding of the AI/ML training and inference lifecycle allows you to contribute effectively to projects. You have worked with large-scale distributed systems and are knowledgeable about common solutions, design patterns, or best practices. Your familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies like Kubernetes or Slurm in an on-prem or cloud environment makes you a valuable asset to any team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for resolving complex deployment and operational obstacles in AI infrastructure environments. You will work closely with multiple Product and Engineering teams to identify ways to improve the product and interact with our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams to ensure high-quality production. Your excellent troubleshooting skills will be essential as you listen to customers and swiftly problem-solve technical issues, demonstrating how our products can enhance productivity, collaboration, and innovation.
You will be available for non-standard work hours or shifts, which may include weekends as needed. Your role will involve advocating for customer needs and triaging technical issues across the stack, including hardware faults, low-level software, networking, virtualization, kernel drivers, and firmware performance. You will also collaborate with sales and customer organizations to ensure a seamless transition to Google products, providing support and guidance throughout the process.
What we offer
At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to helping companies, schools, and governments transition to our innovative products. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
