Job Description
Who you are
You have an Associate's degree, trade school certification, or equivalent practical experience in a related technical field. With 2 years of electrical experience in an industrial or commercial environment, you are familiar with electrical testing equipment and electrical distribution systems. You are capable of participating in material handling tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, and are comfortable using OSHA standard safety equipment. You are flexible and can work non-standard hours and differing work rotations or shifts.
Your preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in the maintenance of electrical distribution systems or in a construction or technical environment. You have knowledge of electrical systems used in data centers, including feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, and PDU/PMM units. You are skilled in using meters, devices, sensors, and troubleshooting with standard hand tools and digital metering or calibration equipment.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Facilities Technician I, you will operate, monitor, and support the physical facilities conditions in the data center. Your responsibilities will include managing the uptime and maintenance of UPS, generators, electrical distribution, and control and monitoring systems. You will respond to abnormal conditions in the data center facilities systems and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently. You will also support the startup, commissioning, and integration of new electrical equipment and systems into the facilities infrastructure.
