Interaction Designer • Entry-Level

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 1 year of interaction design experience in product design or UX design. You understand the importance of a strong portfolio and are ready to showcase your work to demonstrate your skills. You have experience leading design projects and are familiar with modern tools such as LLMs and generative UI, which help accelerate the design-to-build process. You possess the ability to learn new technical domains quickly and adapt to changing product requirements, ensuring that you can keep pace with the evolving landscape of design.

Your passion for the creator economy and business generation systems drives your work, and you are excited about the opportunity to impact a global user base. You can articulate how a single feature change can affect users worldwide, showcasing your understanding of user-centered design principles. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with multi-disciplinary teams to gather insights about user attitudes, emotions, and behaviors.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take complex tasks and make them intuitive and easy to use for billions of people. You will create user flows and wireframes, build user interface mockups, and develop prototypes that bring your vision to life. You will navigate the YouTube ecosystem to ensure that brand agreement features integrate seamlessly with Creator Studio and viewer-facing surfaces. Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and researchers, you will turn user insights into functional and beautiful interfaces that meet high standards for visual polish and accessibility.

You will apply and contribute to the YouTube design system, ensuring that your designs not only meet user needs but also align with the overall brand vision. Your role will involve gathering user feedback and iterating on designs based on insights, ensuring that the final product resonates with users. You will also participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
