Who you are

You have 8 years of interaction design experience in product design or UX design — you've developed a strong portfolio showcasing your ability to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. Your background includes visual design in product or UX design environments, allowing you to blend aesthetics with functionality seamlessly.

You hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, and a Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or Computer Science is preferred. Your expertise extends to advanced motion prototyping, enabling you to create complex wire flows and high-fidelity interactive models that resonate with users.

You have experience designing for LLMs, generative AI, and conversational interfaces, demonstrating a solid understanding of algorithmic recommendation systems. Your knowledge of the music and entertainment landscape, including current trends in digital media consumption, positions you as a valuable asset to the team.

Your presentation skills are top-notch, allowing you to articulate clear design and business rationales to executive stakeholders effectively. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with Senior UX, Product Management, and Engineering teams to align on product goals.

What you'll do

As a Staff Interaction Designer at Google, you will envision how users experience our products, bringing that vision to life in a way that feels inspired and refined. You will create high-fidelity sketches, mockups, and prototypes to establish cohesive visual and voice-based interfaces for music and podcasts.

You will represent user needs and opportunities to executive stakeholders across YouTube, Music, and Living Room platforms, ensuring that user experience remains at the forefront of product development. Your role will involve creating user flows and wireframes, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences.

You will be responsible for conducting user research to gather insights that inform design decisions, iterating on designs based on user feedback and testing. Your ability to balance user needs with business objectives will be crucial in driving product success.
