Overview

Google is hiring a Senior Field Sales Representative to drive business growth in the Retail, Travel, and Logistics sectors. You'll leverage your extensive experience in cloud sales and account management to build relationships and negotiate complex deals. This role requires fluency in German and English, along with a deep understanding of the industry.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 10 years of experience in quota-carrying cloud or software sales, or in account management at a B2B software company. Your fluency in both German and English allows you to effectively manage client relationships in the region, ensuring clear communication and understanding of client needs. You possess a strong understanding of the Travel, Retail, and Logistics industries, which enables you to navigate complex business environments and identify growth opportunities.

Your experience includes working across globally distributed teams, collaborating with sales engineers and technical leads to assess existing software estates, define migration plans, and build compelling business cases for migrations. You have a proven track record of success in large, complex commercial and legal negotiations, working closely with procurement, legal, and business teams to close deals. Your ability to build and leverage C-level relationships is a key asset in selling cloud solutions, infrastructure software, databases, analytic tools, or application software.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for driving business development and operational excellence at scale. You will manage complex business cycles, presenting to C-level executives and negotiating terms that align with both Google Cloud's offerings and client needs. Your focus will be on maximizing business impact by working cross-functionally with multiple teams and Google Partners, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and informed throughout the process.

You will lead customers through the entire business cycle, from initial engagement to successful implementation, ensuring that their transition to Google Cloud is smooth and beneficial. Your role will involve forecasting accurately and achieving strategic goals, which will require you to stay informed about industry trends and customer needs. You will also be expected to mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and insights to help them grow in their roles.
