Overview

Google is seeking a Senior Hardware Engineer for their Cloud Networking team to architect networking ASICs and develop high-performance hardware solutions. You'll work with C++, Python, and various networking protocols in Tel Aviv or Haifa.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, and have at least 4 years of experience architecting networking ASICs from specification to production. Your expertise includes developing RTL for ASIC subsystems, and you have a strong background in micro-architecture, design, verification, logic synthesis, and timing closure. You are familiar with architecting networking switches, endpoints, and hardware offloads, and have experience with design networking principles such as Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) and packet processing. You understand system design principles for low latency, high throughput, security, and reliability, and have collaborated with software teams to optimize the hardware/software interface. Proficiency in TCP, IP, Ethernet, PCIe, DRAM, and Network on Chip (NoC) principles and protocols is essential, along with a strong command of a procedural programming language like C++, Python, or Go.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries by developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will define high-performance hardware/software interfaces and write micro-architecture and design specifications. Your responsibilities will include defining efficient micro-architecture and block partitioning/interfaces and flows, as well as implementing designs in SystemVerilog. You will collaborate closely with software, verification, and physical design stakeholders to ensure that the designs are complete, correct, and performant. Your contributions will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You will also be involved in defining and implementing designs that meet the high standards expected in data center networks, ensuring that your work contributes to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide.
