Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience, along with 4 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related function. Your background includes business partnering in a public accounting or large multinational company setting, and you possess a strong knowledge of accounting principles, including US GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

You are a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA), or hold other professional accounting accreditation. Your exceptional analytical skills are complemented by your adeptness at data queries, reporting, presentation, and visualization. You thrive in demanding, change-oriented environments that require a high degree of deadline-driven productivity.

You excel at working with cross-functional and international teams, effectively surfacing and resolving conflicts diplomatically. Your problem-solving skills are impeccable, and you possess strong business judgment, allowing you to communicate effectively with executive management.

What you'll do

As an Accountant at Google, you will handle core accounting responsibilities, advising on financial reports required by governmental regulations. You will review, analyze, and interpret financial and budgetary reports, continually seeking ways to help the team become more efficient and effective. You will identify opportunities for improvement in current processes and develop new approaches to enhance operational efficiency.

You will act as the first point of contact for advisory support to the business on commercial agreements, ensuring timely agreement execution and compliance. Your role will involve articulating risks to management, providing insights, and making recommendations to inform decision-making. You will collaborate with global business programs with an APAC focus, contributing to the overall success of the team.
