Overview

Google is hiring a Customer Engineer II for their Outcome team to drive business generation for SaaS customers. You'll engage with technical stakeholders and utilize your expertise in cloud native architecture and programming languages. This role requires 6 years of experience in a customer-facing position.

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes deployment planning, orchestration, and change management, along with experience in programming languages, debugging, and systems design. You are comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting to executive leaders, showcasing your strong communication skills.

Your preferred qualifications include experience in infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, Cloud AI, networking, migrations, or security. You have a solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages such as Python and Java, and you leverage your technical proficiencies to remove blockers and accelerate customer delivery. You have experience working with product and support teams to resolve technical blockers and guide customers through the organizational change needed to adopt new cloud-powered business processes.

What you'll do

As a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Outcome Customer Engineer, you will drive initial and ongoing business generation ramp for our SaaS customers. Your role involves managing and executing the deployment plan, transitioning scoped license agreements into production by providing technical leadership to customers and partners. You will have a direct impact on the deployment process, driving and tracking the progress of the initial and ongoing ramp of license agreements, ensuring customers move from agreement to consumption as quickly as possible.

You will identify expansion opportunities for new license agreements within the account during project execution and drive sustainable product usage to help customers realize value on an ongoing basis, securing future agreement renewals. Your ability to engage with customers and provide them with the necessary support will be crucial in ensuring their success with Google Cloud products.
