Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field, and you have at least 2 years of experience in IC silicon quality or reliability. Your background includes a strong understanding of semiconductor CMOS technology, device physics, and failure mechanisms, which allows you to effectively analyze and improve silicon quality. You are skilled in reliability modeling, data analytics, and statistics, enabling you to identify commonalities and abnormalities in data sets. Your familiarity with Design-for-Reliability guidelines and implementation techniques positions you as a valuable asset in ensuring product excellence.
Desirable
Experience in semiconductor reliability and manufacturing processes, including fab, assembly, and test, is preferred. You have a solid grasp of IC and packaging failure mechanisms and related failure analysis, which enhances your ability to contribute to cross-functional investigations of IC quality and reliability issues. Your knowledge of test methods and hardware for silicon qualification, such as HTOL chambers and ESD, further strengthens your qualifications for this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be part of a team that develops custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. You will contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide, shaping the next generation of hardware experiences. Your responsibilities will include developing quality and reliability specifications, deploying design guidelines, and executing test plans. You will own cross-functional investigations of IC quality and reliability issues, identifying root causes and developing solutions through analytics and failure analysis. Additionally, you will develop and implement physics-based statistical Quality and Reliability models to predict silicon device failure mechanisms and degradation patterns, ensuring the longevity and performance of Google's hardware products.
