This position requires 4 years of experience in verification methodology and IP design.
Job Description
Who you are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience, and you have at least 4 years of experience with verification methodology such as Universal Verification Methodology (UVM). You have 2 years of experience in the verification of Intellectual Property (IP) designs, including System on a Chip (SoC) and vector CPUs. Your expertise includes developing and maintaining verification testbenches, test cases, and test environments, and you are familiar with industry-standard simulators and revision control systems. You possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills, which are essential for collaborating with design engineers.
Desirable
A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred. Experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Accelerators or vector processing units would be a significant advantage, as would familiarity with the full verification lifecycle.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive cutting-edge TPU (Tensor Processing Unit) technology that powers Google's most demanding AI/ML applications. You will be responsible for verifying complex digital designs, focusing specifically on TPU architecture and its integration within AI/ML-driven systems. You will own the full verification lifecycle, from writing tests in SystemVerilog and assembly/C to performing SoC Boot, configuration, and data path verification at the SoC level. You will also participate in design debug and code reviews in coordination with other IP Design Verification (DV) teams and Silicon validation teams, ensuring that design blocks are functionally correct.
What we offer
At Google, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's TPU. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the innovation behind products loved by millions worldwide. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
