Overview
Google is hiring a Senior Design Verification Engineer to contribute to the development of custom silicon solutions. You'll work with Python, Perl, SystemVerilog, and UVM to automate verification environments and ensure high-quality designs. This role requires 8 years of experience in design verification.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 8 years of experience in Design Verification of Subsystem (SS) or SoC designs, you are well-versed in the intricacies of hardware verification. Your expertise in Python or Perl for automating verification environments and data processing is complemented by a solid understanding of digital logic, pipeline architectures, and common bus protocols such as AXI and AHB.
You possess extensive experience in SystemVerilog (SV) and UVM for ASIC/IP verification, and you have a proven track record of building Portable Stimuli based test/test bench frameworks. Your preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a focus on computer architecture. You are knowledgeable in domains such as Low-Power verification, Unified Power Format, Performance Analysis, or Security Verification, which enhances your ability to tackle complex verification challenges.
Your experience with hardware acceleration platforms like ZeBu, Palladium, or Veloce for SoC validation, along with your understanding of high-speed interconnects such as PCIe, CHI, and ACE, positions you as a key player in the verification process. Additionally, your familiarity with memory subsystems and ML/AI based Verification flows and methodologies allows you to innovate in verification strategies. You are adept at post-silicon bring-up and using pre-silicon environments to reproduce and root-cause silicon sightings.
What you'll do
In this role, you will build and maintain reusable UVM-based verification components, including agents, predictors, and scoreboards, while driving verification closure across multiple platforms. You will ensure seamless test bench portability from RTL simulation to emulation and acceleration goals, which is critical for maintaining high standards in design verification. Your responsibilities will also include designing and enhancing scripting-based utilities for regression management, automated bug triaging, and coverage analysis, ensuring that the verification process is efficient and effective.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to push the boundaries of silicon solutions that power Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your contributions will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You will be part of a team that values innovation and excellence, and your expertise will be instrumental in developing solutions that are loved by millions worldwide.
What we offer
At Google, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to pushing the limits of technology. We offer a collaborative work environment where your ideas and contributions are valued. You will have access to cutting-edge tools and resources to help you succeed in your role.
