Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in the relevant industry. With at least 2 years of experience in program or project management, you have a solid foundation in managing programs and processes across distributed systems. Your experience includes using supply planning and material requirements planning tools, which are essential for this role.
You may also hold an MBA or a Master’s degree in Business Process Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related planning disciplines. Certification in Supply Chain is a plus, showcasing your commitment to the field. You have experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems and tools, which will be crucial for planning materials for new product launches and transitions.
Your analytical skills are strong, and you are proficient in Analytics, SQL, and BigQuery. You have a proven track record in the development and implementation of planning systems and processes, as well as knowledge of sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes. You understand that a problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all, which aligns with Google’s mission to create opportunities for everyone.
What you'll do
As a Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres, requiring excellent coordination skills.
You will be responsible for developing supply models to minimize total costs and inventories while maintaining service levels. This includes driving long capacity plans for sustaining and new product components and working cross-functionally to determine capacity and supply strategy. Your role will involve sustained improvements of inventory models and supply chain buffers, ensuring that the processes you implement are efficient and effective.
You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that all aspects of the supply chain are optimized. This includes analyzing data to inform decisions and making recommendations based on your findings. Your ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders will be key to your success in this role.
