Overview

Google is hiring a Senior Customer Engineer to engage with start-ups and drive technical solutions on Google Cloud. You'll leverage your expertise in cloud engineering and virtualization to support customers in their cloud journey. This role requires 10 years of experience in a customer-facing position.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 10 years of experience in cloud native architecture within a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, and expertise in virtualization or containerization platforms. You are comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders and presenting to executive leaders, showcasing your ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Your experience extends to programming languages, debugging, systems design, prototyping, and conducting customer workshops. You have a strong understanding of security concepts, including encryption, identity management, access control, and attack vectors. Additionally, you have experience promoting technical solutions in Cloud AI and driving the entire business cycle, from defining delivery plans to transitioning them for execution.

What you'll do

In this role, you will play a key part in understanding the needs of start-up customers and shaping their future delivery plans. You will lead technical engagements during the solution phase and facilitate post-sales transitions by supporting pricing activities and transitioning final delivery plans to implementation teams. Your responsibilities will include maintaining awareness of progress against delivery plans and providing support to cross-functional teams during ramp-up, delivery, migration, or implementation phases.

You will also be responsible for building technical strategies to uncover new workloads with customers and migrating applications and services to cloud platforms. Your role will require you to collaborate closely with various teams to ensure that customer needs are met and that they see the benefits of Google Cloud technology come to life.
