Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. With 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, you have a strong focus on business development, partnerships, or corporate strategy. You have led negotiations for agreements involving capital expenditure (CapEx) or operational expenditure (OpEx), showcasing your ability to navigate complex business landscapes. A Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field is preferred, along with 12 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or product engineering for hardware technology and systems.

Your familiarity with the fabless/foundry ecosystem, including advanced packaging technologies and Moore’s Law scaling challenges, positions you as a knowledgeable leader in the field. You have experience in Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) or managing strategic investment funds within a hardware context, demonstrating your strategic acumen. Engaging deeply with Principal Engineers and Architects, you understand the technical nuances behind technology choices, enabling you to synthesize market data into strategic recommendations for C-Suite executives.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be part of a team that pushes boundaries, developing custom silicon solutions that power the future of Google's direct-to-consumer products. Your expertise will shape the next generation of hardware experiences, delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. You will build and secure external relationships to create integrated partnerships that align partner roadmaps with Google's long-term architectural goals. Conducting due diligence and building financial models will be essential to justify capital deployment to executive leadership.

You will focus on emerging technologies such as Silicon Photonics, novel cooling, and new materials, identifying startups that can strengthen Google's supply chain resilience and technical capabilities. Your strategic leadership will be crucial in navigating the complexities of the semiconductor industry and ensuring that Google's hardware technology remains at the forefront of innovation.
