Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes leading hardware products through the Product Life Cycle (PLC) and working in a new product introduction (NPI) role. You are skilled in technical documentation validation and design change management, ensuring that all aspects of the project are well-documented and communicated effectively.
With 10 years of experience in design and manufacturing, you have a deep understanding of hardware operations and the typical hardware bill of materials (BOMs). You excel at managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, demonstrating your ability to communicate project requirements and schedules clearly. Your investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity, and strategic skills make you a valuable asset to any team.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve acting as the first level escalation point for partner team deliverables, ensuring that all project milestones are met. You will communicate program risks to leadership while providing mitigation recommendations, demonstrating your proactive approach to project management.
You will manage First-of-a-Kind (FOAK) ramp readiness with internal teams and external partners, focusing on material availability, cost, assembly, test, bill of materials, capacity readiness, and transition plans. Your ability to navigate these complexities will be crucial to the success of the projects you oversee.
