Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes managing and delivering programs in infrastructure systems, system design, and infrastructure operations. You are skilled in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects and understand how to leverage scope-cost-time-quality tradeoffs to achieve program goals.
You possess a proven track record of technical program management outcomes from concept to launch. Your ability to keep the big picture in focus while diving into unique engineering challenges is essential. You are comfortable writing scripts and building dashboards, and you have a solid knowledge of SQL, which enhances your ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You will plan requirements with internal customers and guide projects through the entire lifecycle, managing schedules, identifying risks, and communicating them to stakeholders. Your role will involve explaining analyses and recommendations to executives while discussing technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
You will use your extensive technical and leadership expertise to manage projects of various sizes and scopes, identifying future opportunities and improving processes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all leadership and stakeholders are aware of progress and blockers on a continuous basis. You will analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, define requirements, and collaborate cross-functionally and globally to enhance processes and tools.
