Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with 5 years of experience in program management. Your background includes working with consumer electronics such as phones, tablets, and watches, and you are familiar with the hardware product lifecycle. You excel in managing cross-functional or cross-team projects, ensuring that problems are solved comprehensively. Your communication skills allow you to articulate complex analyses and recommendations to both executives and engineers alike.
You are comfortable leading innovative engineering teams, coordinating many fast-changing moving parts to ensure high-quality products are built, tested, and released on time. You have a knack for identifying risks and developing effective mitigation strategies, facilitating conflict resolution when necessary. Your ability to synthesize large amounts of data into a clear narrative helps you communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex projects from start to finish, working closely with engineers, product managers, and engineering partners. You will be responsible for planning requirements, managing project schedules, and ensuring that all objectives are met. Your role will involve identifying and managing risks, making sound judgments about quality, and improving processes to support your team. You will drive failure analysis and triage for issues, ensuring that the team has what they need to execute on all objectives.
