Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of experience in program management. Your background includes experience in Product/Hardware Platform design safety, and you have a strong track record in technical roles with Product Management and Engineering. You excel at building relationships and collaborating with multiple teams and stakeholders, demonstrating excellent negotiation and communication skills. Your problem-solving abilities are data-driven, allowing you to identify key issues and analyze complex data sets to support your recommendations. You understand that a problem isnβt truly solved until itβs addressed for all involved, which aligns with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone.
What you'll do
As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex projects from start to finish, utilizing your technical expertise to guide cross-functional teams. You will work closely with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, and manage project schedules. Your role will involve communicating clearly with partners across the company, ensuring that everyone is aligned on project goals and progress. You will also be responsible for conducting job hazard analyses and reviewing incidents with teams to evaluate risk mitigation options for current and future deployed equipment. Additionally, you will manage multiple programs and report on progress and milestone accomplishments to leadership, with travel of up to 25% as needed.
