Who you are
You are an enthusiastic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You possess a strong work ethic and are ready to take on various operational responsibilities at Gopuff. Your drive and perseverance will help you succeed in this role, where you will be an essential part of the operations team. You are comfortable working with a variety of equipment and handling products that may contain tobacco, nicotine, and/or alcohol. You are also capable of lifting up to 49 pounds and standing for the duration of your shift.
You have a general working knowledge of basic web-based software applications, which will aid you in managing inventory and communicating with team members effectively. Your positive attitude and enthusiasm for challenges will contribute to a collaborative team environment. You are flexible and willing to work during peak shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What you'll do
As an Operations Associate at Gopuff, you will be responsible for picking and packing items for dispatch to customers, ensuring that orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. You will receive and unpack pallets of products from vendors, verifying that the physical inventory count matches the purchase order or invoice, and resolving any discrepancies that may arise. Your role will also involve managing inventory and re-shelving canceled orders to maintain an organized sales floor and overall facility.
You will be tasked with cleaning and organizing the sales floor, managing waste and spoilage through strict compliance with FIFO practices. Additionally, you will contact customers regarding substituted or out-of-stock items, ensuring that they are informed and satisfied with their orders. Throughout your shifts, you will handle, scan, and move products in a safe and well-organized manner, utilizing carts, pallet jacks, dollies, and other equipment as needed. You will also be required to work in freezer locations periodically, demonstrating your adaptability and commitment to the role.
